Habibi Funk

Jannis from Jakarta Records keeps digging in North Africa and the Middle East and keeps finding funky gems. He’s just dropped Habibi Funk 006, taken from vinyl and cassette tapes. This funky mix is perfect for summer. “Get to know what Fadoul sounded like when he was playing around with rapping,” Jannis notes. Adding, “Disco from Egypt, coladera from Algeria, an Arabic take on zouk music, and much more. It also includes two tracks from Egypt’s Al Massrieen, which will be the next reissue on Habibi Funk.”
