Marion Brown
1931-2010
Alto saxophone great Marion Brown died in Hollywood, Florida, on October 18. He was seventy-nine.
Brown played on John Coltrane’s Ascension and Archie Shepp’s Attica Blues, and recorded his own albums for labels like ESP, Impulse!, and ECM.
