The Jack Moves take a “Joyride”

The Jack Moves (Wax Poetics Records) drop their third official single with “Joyride,” a sweet-soul classic about the simple pleasures of life and finding joy in the company of someone you love.

The video is the result of a special collaboration between the Jack Moves and Bay Area Chicano community organization, Souleros Ball Revue. Born out of their shared admiration for oldies R&B, the collabo hopes to inspire peace, love, and positive community values to a new generation by shining light onto an often overlooked aspect of Chicano life—deep family traditions and love of community.

Shot all around the Bay Area, the video follows young Chicano couple Cholo and Giggles on a date cruisin’ in Cholo’s father’s lowrider. The two young lovers cruise through iconic Bay Area spots including Mission St. in San Francisco, the Santa Clara fairgrounds, and the Hammer y Lewis clothing store, meeting up with various homeboys and homegirls along the way.

Purchase the single on iTunes. The album drops October 13.
